What does the future look like for The Wellness Barn Studio

Hello my Yogi Friends,

I can’t think of a better way of spending a rainy day than to write a blog post- it’s been a while and this topic is one that has been talked about lately so here it goes :)

Throughout these last few months I have had many calls, emails, DM and Facebook messages in regards to what is going on with The Wellness Barn Studio- some times is hard to get back to everyone in a timely manner so I am just going to address these questions here on this blog post.

Just like anything we are finding these days the future is uncertain and always changing. What however will remain a constant is The Wellness Barn Studio in some shape or form. What does that look like right now… primarily zoom classes. That being said I am sure I am getting a few eye rolls and sighs and believe me it is not my #1 way I would like to teach right now either- but I am grateful to still have this option. I have gotten some feedback in regards to taking online classes and other questions in general and in this post I would like to address those items.

  1. The sign up process is too complicated…. I get it - technology most days isn’t my best friend either and I will be a life long student in this industry but I will not give up because it is hard. I want to you to feel like you can approach me about signing up for classes if it’s a little sticky to get started. Once you are in- you are in- I can guarantee a few hiccups from time to time, but you are going to find that with a lot of things. Please reach out to me- it will literally take 2 minutes to get you signed up. I did a post back in March/April about how to sign up for classes- it takes you step by step to get your registered, but again reach out to me if something isn’t working- I will do my best to work through the kinks :)

  2. What’s going on with my punch card- can I get a refund, when does my card expire? So as we will know these are some interesting times we are going through and because of that I want to you know that your punch cards will still be valid until there are used up completely. It has always been my policy that no refunds have ever been issued for punch cards and that remains the same as well. I am doing my best to offer classes weekly and as frequently as my schedule permits so thank you for your understanding that I too am trying my best for you all as well. Students that do have a punch card with The Wellness Barn Studio are ALREADY in the SYSTEM… WHAT, WAIT, I am already in the system- yep :) Just contact me and I can send you your login info and you can change your password. Easy peasy lemon squeezy - Yes I do have kids and I did take that saying from them :)

  3. When will night classes be back? I have been offering at least 1 a week now- the day of the week and times vary due to making sure my kids have someone here for them. I am hearing your requests and again trying to do my best to get them up and running again.

  4. When do you post the weekly schedule? Most times it is visible online by Sunday evening- you can sign up for classes up to an hour before they start- if you are a late registration you will not be able to sign up online, but if you send me a message I will be able to manually enter you in before class starts.

  5. What happened to this barn renovation/event venue thingy you were talking about at your home location? Thanks for asking about this… the dream is still alive in my heart and soul and I can envision how beautiful it will be… someday. Not having a physical location for me to be teaching right now takes a huge piece out of the puzzle for me. Unexpected things happen and this is definitely the year for it and creating a beautiful venue right now just isn’t the best timing for a lot of reasons. Now that being said - we are working on something a little smaller scale to be able to teach safely from our building at the Farmhouse location- we just need to be patient with these options.

  6. Why don’t you just rent your old studio space or find another one in town to accommodate classes in the meantime? Believe me the thought has crossed my mind numerous times- but right now it would be too much of a gamble and risk. Don’t get me wrong I am a risk taker by nature but I also have to dish it up with a side of realism as well and with these uncertain times with the possibility of being ‘shut down’ again makes me rethink those options for the security of my family and business too.

  7. Pre-recorded classes? What’s going on with those…? Yoga classes and guided mediations will be uploaded and available for purchase by November. Gentle, Flow and Power Yoga right now will be the options, niche classes will be offered in the future, ex: coping with times of uncertainty through yoga, yoga for better sleep, yoga for focus and concentration, etc.… These classes will be available the same way online classes are: punch card- if you have a punch card already you can use it to for these pre-recorded classes. Punch card passes are:

    1. 5 class pass for $45

    2. 10 class pass for $85

    3. 15 class pass for $125

    4. or you can purchase a drop in single class for $12

  8. Last question to address: I didn’t know you are a Certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and a licensed Drugless Practitioner? Yes, I completed these certifications shortly after becoming a certified yoga instructor. My main focus at that time was gaining knowledge to better my own health and lifestyle and since then have been coaching others to do the same. I have been working with clients throughout the years on many different areas- physical health, nutrition, exercise, life changes, etc… you can find more information about my practice here. There you will find the holistic approach I take with my clients and what coaching packages are available. Currently I am doing most of my meetings through Zoom and phone but do still have the option of in person meetings- the comfort of your own home or my home as well. Coaching can seem very vague and you many wonder how you can benefit from Coaching with me- if you have any questions please connect with me and we can chat.

This blog was birthed with the intention of sharing wellness versus just communication about what is going on with The Studio itself so please stay tuned to my Sharing Wellness Blog to receive thoughts, tips and inspiration to live life better on your terms.

Well I think that is a wrap for this post.

Until we meet again, Namaste my friends,

Tarah
